How do I plug it in? Do I need an adapter?

In the US and Canada, no adapter is needed.

The cord snaps onto the mat or sheet and plugs directly into the round ground hole of a standard 3-prong outlet. It does not use electricity.

If your outlet does not have a ground hole, an adapter or grounded solution may be needed.
