How to Use Your Kit

Three simple steps to start grounding.

Test Your Outlet

Plug the outlet tester into your wall outlet. Look for 2 yellow lights. This confirms your outlet is properly grounded and safe to use.

Not 2 yellow lights? Try a different outlet. Some older outlets have lost their ground connection.

Connect Your Product

Snap the grounding cord into your mat or sheet. Plug the other end into the round ground hole only (the small round hole below the two flat slots).

Using the dual adapter? Plug it into the ground hole first, then connect up to 2 cords.

Verify It's Conductive

Touch the conductivity pen tip to your mat or sheet surface. If the light turns on, your product is conductive and ready to use.

Pen lights up even when unplugged? That's normal! It tests the material itself, not the connection.

Yes, completely normal! The pen tests whether the material itself can conduct electricity. It works by touching the surface, not by checking if the cord is plugged in. If it lights up, your mat or sheet is conductive.
No, that's by design! Every GAYA grounding cord has a built-in 100K ohm safety resistor. This protects you from electrical surges. The high resistance reading confirms the resistor is working correctly.
You're grounded! Grounding works silently - no lights, no sounds, no sensations. If your outlet shows 2 yellow lights and your pen lights up on the mat, everything is working. Benefits come with consistent use over 1-2 weeks.
Try a different outlet. Any pattern other than 2 yellow lights means that outlet has a wiring issue. Many older outlets have lost their ground connection over time. Try other outlets in your home. If they all fail, an electrician can help.
That's what the dual adapter is for! Plug the adapter into your outlet's ground hole. Connect two grounding cords to the adapter's two ports. Snap each cord to a different product (like mat + sheet). Now both are grounded from one outlet.

Wrong lights on outlet tester

Don't use that outlet. Try another one in your home, or contact an electrician.

High resistance on multimeter

This is normal! The 100K ohm safety resistor in the cord causes this reading. Your cord is working.

Continuity tester shows no continuity

Also normal! The safety resistor blocks continuity testers. Use the included conductivity pen instead.
