Good to know
- This is ambient light, closer to candlelight than to a lamp. It sets the mood in a room rather than lighting it up.
- The bulb and the stones get warm when the lamp is on. Switch it off and let it cool before you move it or handle the stones.
- Salt draws moisture from the air. Wipe it with a dry cloth, never water. In a damp room, leaving the lamp on helps it stay dry.
- Every bowl and every stone is cut from natural salt, so color, shape and veining vary.
FAQ
Common questions
How many salt stones are included?
Six.
What bulb does it take?
E12 base, 120V, 15W.
How do I use it with essential oil?
Put a few drops directly on the salt stones. Switch the lamp off and let it cool first, then add 3 to 5 drops to the outer stones, never into the center of the bowl where the bulb sits. Turn the lamp back on and the warmth lifts the scent gently into the room.
This is a soft, slow scent, not a powered diffuser. It fades after a few hours, so add a few more drops when you want it back. Keep oil off the bulb, the metal cage, the cord and the wooden base.
Can I leave it on overnight?
Yes. It runs on a 15W bulb and uses very little power. Keep it on a dry surface, uncovered, and away from anything flammable.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, with the dial on the cord. It runs continuously from a low glow to full.
Why does it look different lit and unlit?
Natural salt is a soft pink in daylight and turns warm amber once the bulb is on. Both are normal.
The surface feels slightly damp.
Salt pulls moisture from the air, which is more noticeable in humid rooms. Wipe it with a dry cloth and leave the lamp on, which helps it stay dry.
Mine looks different from the photos.
It will. Every piece is cut from natural Himalayan salt, so shape, color and veining vary from one to the next.
